SULABH ENCYCLOPAEDIA OF SANITATION

 

The Sulabh is also working on an Encyclopaedia of Sanitation which would be a valuable data-base containing information gathered from various countries pertaining to sanitation practices followed there and the history of sanitation. The main aim of the Encyclopaedia is to provide a succinct, systematic and readable guide to facts, events, issues, beliefs, culture and achievements which constitute knowledge about ‘sanitation’  in its entirety. It would essentially constitute:

• Articles, little known facts, pictures and figures, messages, graffiti and data related to sanitation.

Besides technical information related to the field of sanitation, the Encyclopaedia would also include information in the following points:

• Eminent sanitarians, scientists, engineers, architects, environmentalists, social workers and researchers engaged in the field.
• Institutes and organisations known for their seminal contribution in the field of sanitation.

We wish the endeavour to be as thorough and comprehensive as possible. We welcome articles, pictures, graffiti and related information that you feel will be helpful in this attempt, and your valued information and suggestions to be incorporated in the encyclopaedia that is going to be published in near future.
